The process of applying this type of Henna is similar to the other types of henna, but the design is significantly different from the rest. Arabic designs do not usually cover the entire hands and feet, meaning the style tend to be less detailed and intricate. These patterns reveal more skin and mainly consist of floral patterns. Another important aspect of Arabic henna is that, there is no usage of animals of human figures in the design. Indian henna is probably the most artistic and intricate of all the types. Why? Well, it is much more complicated, detailed and accurate than any other. It uses the entire palm, feet with very little skin show. Some artists also use animal figures like peacock, elephant, etc. in the pattern; however, this practice is not common among Muslim brides. It generally begins from the fingers and even goes up to the elbows and also contains the initials of the groom.

3. Party Mehndi

This back hand style has boxes usually of brown color and then those boxes are filled with different colors. The type of mehndi was not popular until few years ago where young women in India began doing it for regular parties like karwa chauth, family gatherings, etc.

Tips to Make Bridal Mehndi Designs Dark

Have you ever thought how to get that dark red color for your bridal mehndi designs? Every bride wishes her mehndi is dark and beautiful. Well, there are some simple tips you can consider to make your henna or mehndi dark and attractive at the same time.

1. Let It Dry for A Longer Time

Some people do not like the smell of mehndi and decide to wash it off early. However, if you want that dark red color, then keeping it to dry for a longer period it highly recommended. Ensure you wash off the henna after 7-8 hours or even longer than that.

2. Use Lemon and Sugar Mixture

Once the mehndi designs are dried up, you are advised to make a mixture of lemon juice and sugar, dip a cotton ball into the mixture and apply it gently on the dried design. Sugar helps in keeping the mehndi in contact with the skin for better color and lemon juice, on the other hand, works as a catalyst and offers a deep penetration of the color.

3. Wrap Up the Design

Wrapping up, your bridal mehndi design, help in offering rich and dark color. Another advantage of wrapping is that, wrapping minimizes the instances of accidental or unintentional ruining of beautiful designs.

4. Use of Clove Fumes

For impressive penetration of your wonderful mehndi designs ensure you run your hands over clove fumes. This needs to be done after you apply the lemon and sugar mixture. After this, you can consider scrapping the mehndi or even remove it the next morning.

5. Avoid Water or Soap

When talking about washing, ensure you do not use water or soap. You can just scrape it with your finger or by rubbing your palms together. Though the color might not be that red at first but as the time goes by, the rich dark red color will develop. Mehndi tends to darken when exposed to air.
